In a message posted on Instagram, the Bible teacher who leads Joyce Meyer ministries identified with people who struggle with emotionally painful experiences.
“We all go through hard things and experience wounds in our soul. And we all have a story to tell…,” she wrote. “Maybe you’re on the other side of a struggle and you have a story of victory of what God has done for you. Maybe you’re going through something right now and you think you just have to live with it.”
The minister who often preaches on television reminded people that God cares about their emotional well being.
“Maybe you have no idea that God is interested in helping you…that He cares about every detail in your life,” she wrote.
According to Meyer, God wants people to live a life of joy.
“The truth is God wants you to enjoy your life, not just survive and live with the pain of your past,” she wrote.
The preacher closed her message with the scripture John 10:10 which says, “Jesus came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows] (AMP).”
She also shared Psalm 147:3 which says, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wound [healing their pain and comforting their sorrow] (AMP).”
These scriptures support Meyer’s message of Jesus’ intention for his people to be whole.
“Jesus wants us to be completely whole,” she wrote. “He died so we could have a life worth living now, while we’re on this earth.

In a previous message posted on Instagram, Meyer also encouraged people with the thought of God wanting to heal their brokenness.
“If you are struggling with emotional distress or a broken heart, God wants to renew your mind, restore your soul, and give you a fresh start,” she wrote in a recent message posted to Instagram. “I don’t know your circumstances, past or present, but I suspect you have hurts that are holding you back and keeping you captive.”
