Joshua Dubois led faith-based initiatives at the White House for the 44th U.S. President Barack Obama. Now, he is leading Ambo TV in a discussion about the new History channel series, “Jesus: His Life.”

The new eight-part series executive produced by Pastor Joel Osteen of Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas highlights the life of Jesus from the perspective of the people who walked with him. Unlike other documentaries, films and series, “Jesus:His Life” fuses elements of action and commentary together in a unique way.

In a conversation with Ambo TV, DuBois revealed how the series is different from other documentaries and historical pieces.

“Some series focus on one aspect of [Jesus’] life and others focus on another. And often times it’s either inspiration, or action, or information but they don’t all come together,” DuBois told Ambo TV this week. “That’s what ‘Jesus His Life’ does. Through action-oriented script portions, you really see the gospel come alive on screen. But by engaging some of the most cutting edge and in-depth Christian scholars and theologians, you learn new things about the gospel that you may have not known before.”

The series premiere of JESUS: HIS LIFE will take place on Monday, March 25 at 8pm ET/PT with two back-to-back episodes.
