Pastor Rich Wilkerson, Jr. wants people to know that God is still in the miracle-working business.

Rich and his wife DawnCheré Wilkerson, lead VOUS Church in Miami, Florida. Last week, Rich visited Liberty University in Virginia where he opened up about the miracle that he and DawnCheré experienced last year.

The couple was struggling with infertility for eight years and were told that the possibility of them having a child was slim.

“2018 was the best year of my entire life,” he said. “There’s a lot of reasons for that, but the biggest reason is some of you have followed my wife and my journey a little bit that my wife and I, we went on an eight-year infertility journey, spoke to doctor after doctor, and so many of them said it was going to be almost impossible for us to have the child.”

However, things turned around for the couple who were able to receive their miracle early last year.

“But I bring you good news on this Wednesday that after eight years of trying, we still served the God of the impossible. We still served a miracle-working God,“ he said. “Because in January of 2018, my wife gave birth to our firstborn son. Can we go ahead and give God a shout of praise that He’s still working miracles?”

In a previous Live Original blog post, DawnCheré admitted that sharing her infertility struggles was a challenge.

“I used to be paralyzed by fear and perfection. I couldn’t share my story because I was so concerned with what people thought,” she admitted. “I couldn’t get ‘out of my head.’ But I asked Jesus for help.”

The preacher said she, “decided to say yes even when I was scared.”

She decided how beautiful it can be when other people do the same thing.

“Powerful things happen when we open up about our Jesus story and allow others who truly care walk beside us,” she said. “His presence is the constant promise in every one of our Jesus stories. After all, it’s all about Him.”
