“Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness.
Let the whole world know what he has done.” 1 Chronicles 16:8

Thanksgiving is the time of year where we collectively pause to give thanks for what we are grateful for. No matter what may be going on in life, we all have a reason to be thankful. Whether it’s your family, friends, church or the very fact that you’re still alive, there is something in your life that should inspire a spirit of gratitude.

In this verse, the Bible reminds us that when we can think of no other reason to be thankful, we need only turn to the Lord.  God’s goodness towards us should compel us to give Him thanks and proclaim His greatness! Today, as we gather around food and loved ones, let’s not forget to give thanks to the one who deserves it the most.
