“They said to one another, “Here comes this dreamer. Come now, let us kill him and throw him into one of the pits…and we shall see what will become of his dreams.” -Gen 37:19-20

Today we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who almost 56 years ago stood on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial and pronounced to the nation his dream for racial harmony, justice and equality.  Like Joseph, his dream was not well received by those who did not understand it, and they thought they could kill him and the dream. However, no dream given by God can ever be stopped by those who try to kill it. If you have a dream, then go forth boldly knowing that God is with you and will fulfill it.
