Singer Alaine Shares Her Baptism With The World
International reggae artist Alaine Laughton has been singing her way into the hearts of countless people for over a decade, now the singer is using her platform for the glory of God after being baptized recently.
On Saturday, the 39-year-old Jamaican singer who swept the scene with her hit song “No Ordinary Love” in 2005 shared her baptism experience on Instagram.
“Best Saturday morning everrrrrrrrr,” the singer who is known by the mononym Alaine wrote Saturday. “I LOVE GOD sooooo much!!!! I got baptized this morning.. and what a JOY!!!!!!”
In the social media image, the singer is pictured with her pastor Ryan Mark of Pure In Heart Ministries International located in Kingston, Jamaica. The singer wore no makeup as she stood smiling with her pastor near an ocean in Kingston.
She went on to share a scripture with over 151,000 followers on Instagram.

Earlier this month, Alaine performed with Jamaican Christian pop artist Kevin Downswell. She initially attended Downswell’s concert as a spectator, but credited God for allowing her to perform.
Alaine shared a video clip from the moment where she sang alongside Downswell.
“My heart is full.. where would I be without GOD?? His unfailing love and mercy has KEPT me..,” she wrote on Instagram July 15. “I LOVE YOU LORD. @kevindownswell you are blessing to the world.. your songs always make me praise.. move me to tears.. your voice is amaaaazzzing .. what a gift…what a powerful ministry.. thank you my brother for sharing your stage with me tonight.”
The singer continued to praise the Lord for the rest of her post while revealing that she did not expect to sing alongside the Christian music artist.
