Worship leader Rick Pino is informing people about something called the harp and bowl model of worship.

Pino is the founder of the Heart of David Worship Center in Austin, Texas which helps musicians usher in the spirit of God both in and out of church. He often shares knowledge on social media about the depths of the worship experience.

In a recent video posted to Instagram, Pino responded to a question about something called harp and bowl worship. He broke down the model and how it can impact people.

In his caption, Pino made reference to the form of worship with a scripture found in Revelation 5:8 which states, “The four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and a golden bowl full of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people.”

After sharing the scripture, Pino described the heavenly model of worship.

“One of the heavenly models for worship is the ‘harp and bowl’ model,” he revealed. “This model consists of worship (the harp) mixed with intercession (the bowls).”

The worshipper took things one step further and guided people with practical steps to help them incorporate that form of worship in their prayer lives.

“One practical way to practice this is to take a scripture, say Psalm 23 for instance, and begin to sing, worship, and pray through it during your time of worship,” he wrote.

The practice may be helpful to people who may not have been feeling moved in their recent worship experiences.

“If worship has seemed stagnant to you recently, try this out,” he said. “I know it will take your worship to a whole new level.”

With his Heart of David movement, Pino unites musicians, artists, intercessors, families, entrepreneurs, worshipers, and missionaries.

“We are passionate about seeing Jesus glorified through day and night worship that leads to the societal transformation of cities, regions, and nations,” a description of the HOD organization says on its website. “Every year, people come from all over the world to attend HOD internships, schools, summits, and conferences.”
