In 2 Samuel 4, Mephibosheth was crippled as a young child. When he was introduced to King David years later, his fear made him feel unworthy to be in the presence of the king. Like Mephibosheth, when we experience traumatic experiences, sometimes we feel undeserving to receive certain things. But God uses David in this text as a reminder that no matter what the experience was, Mephibosheth, and we as well, are important enough to receive what God has intended for us. Today, think of the many times God has placed people in your life to reveal your importance.
