Faith & The Fast Lane: Faith for Creatives

But, beloved, we are confident of better things concerning you, yes, things that accompany salvation, though we speak in this manner.  For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.  And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” ~HEBREWS 6:9-12

Sometimes in the pursuit of our passion, the vision that the Lord has set ablaze in our souls, we find ourselves slowing down to a productive pace that does not match the zeal that is burning on the inside of us.

We look around us and see others seemingly tackling goals and gaining momentum with neck-break speed while we putter along. We wonder if our faith is enough.

The answer is yes, yes your faith is enough!

Your journey in pursuit of your creative passion and the calling that the Lord has placed upon your life is not valued by the amount of time that it takes you to accomplish it. What I mean by this is that your progress cannot be measured by that of others.

We can all be encouraged in knowing that the Lord has placed His hand upon us (Psalm 139:5) He knows when we need to advance and when we need to fallback.

So be encouraged in your process. Your journey is not one measured by a wordly stopwatch or even the ‘fast lane’ but by faith and the progression of His purpose for your life.

“Faith is the key element that takes you on to live your big life. Your heavenly Father didn’t create you to live a life of mediocrity – you were created to live life in the FAITH LANE. The faith-lane is not to be mistaken as the ‘fast lane’ because often it is just the opposite. Faith and Patience = The Promise. (Hebrews 6:12)” ~Pastor Brian Houston “Live love lead” Devotional
